Start with the official sources.

A practical route to the Compassionate Use Program’s public physician search, patient information and licensed-organization list.

Find a participating physician

The DPS CURT physician search supports county, city and ZIP searches. Results contain physicians who have permitted publication, so this is not a complete census of everyone registered with the program. Eligibility and treatment decisions belong with a qualified physician.

Check the dispensing-organization list

The DPS licensed-dispensaries page is the official starting point for provider information. Contact an organization directly to confirm its current service area and dispensing arrangements. The page’s publication date is December 5, 2025; a page retrieval today does not establish that every program change has been reflected there.

A statewide organization license is not a count of physical dispensing locations. Conditional applicants, final license holders, physicians, delivery services and retail locations must not be combined into one “dispensary” total.

Understand the patient process

Read the DPS patient FAQ for current program requirements and prescription guidance. Use the program home page to reach official notices and regulations. TCL does not collect patient details or determine eligibility.

Can I search for a Texas medical-cannabis physician by county?

Yes. The public DPS Compassionate Use Registry physician search offers county, city and ZIP filters. Its results include physicians who consented to publication; they are not a complete count of registered physicians.

Local dispensing inventory: coming soon

All 254 county hubs link to official access resources. A location-by-location inventory with operating status, addresses and verification dates will be added after source validation. No local count is inferred from statewide license totals.
